Local charity shows how donation makes a difference
- Local company donates £2,000 to Sue Ryder

Sue Ryder – Thorpe Hall Hospice - in Peterborough shows local company, Move with Us the difference a recent donation of £2000 makes to local families.

Move with Us, which holds monthly dress down days for staff in return for a charitable donation from their salaries, were invited to Thorpe Hall Hospice to see the brilliant work the charity does for the local community.

Alison Toomey, corporate fundraiser at Thorpe Hall Hospice said: “Each year we care for around 400 people from across Cambridgeshire who are suffering from life limiting or complex medical conditions.  To continue to provide this specialist care, we must raise at least £1m every year.  The money donated by Move with Us will therefore make a huge difference to our fundraising and we are extremely grateful that they chose to support us with such a fantastic donation.”

Thorpe Hall provides care for people over the age of 18, with active, progressive and advanced illness, where the focus of care is on quality of life.

Caroline Hart, HR Director at Move with Us said: “Move with Us and its staff members were delighted to be able to make a donation to such a worthy, local cause. I would like to take this opportunity, not only to thank Thorpe Hall Hospice for such a generous invitation, but also Move with Us staff for the continued support they have shown to our charity initiatives.”
