Property for sale in London

Van Gogh’s former home has gone on sale with a house valuation of £475,000.

On sale for the first time in 65 years, the artist’s London home is to be sold at auction according to the Daily Mail.

Van Gogh moved to the three bedroom house in 1873 and is said to have lived some of ‘the happiest years of his life’ in Brixton.

Savills will be selling the property which contains period features including an outside toilet andVictorian fireplaces.

Savills spokesperson, Russell Taylor commented on the Daily Mail that: 'It needs total modernisation but a lot of features such as the fireplaces where he would have warmed himself on a cold night were covered up so they are not damaged in any way.'
