Updown Court sells for 35,000,000 GBP

A luxury mansion in Surrey has finally sold for £35,000,000, the Daily Mail has reported.

The mansion incorporates five swimming pools, £9,000,000 worth of marble, and a bowling alley, all set on 58 acres of land.

Updown Court has been on the market for six years. It came with an initial asking price of £75,000,000 but sold at less than half its original asking price after failing to find a buyer due to its grand status.

Mr Allen-Vercoe bought the property for £20,000,000 back in 2002 and spent another £30,000,000 renovating it.

The property has now been taken over by a foreign investor.
