The most expensive street in England and Wales

Wondering 'what is my house worth'? The most expensive road in England and Wales has recently been announced, with the accolade going to Victoria Road in Kensington.

Victoria Road boasts an average property price of approximately £6.4million, and jumped from the number 10 position last year to top spot for 2011. The research* showed that Victoria Road's cause had been helped by one property selling for £11million in 2010.

Victoria Road was once the home of famous poets TS Eliot and Robert Browning, and is close to the Royal Albert Hall and the National History Museum.

14 of the top 20 most expensive roads was in the Kensington and Chelsea area. The average value on the top 10 most expensive streets in London went up to £5.9million this year. The survey analysed Land Registry sale data and valuation information provided by surveyors.
