Property demand reaches a four year high

23 September 2011

New data indicates the housing market is steadily improving.

Data from the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has revealed that, on average, each estate agency sold eight properties in August, which is traditionally a quiet month for the property market.

Research also detailed a rise in buyer interest with figures the highest they have been for four years. The number of properties left unsold per agency dropped to 65 from 70 with three to four bedroom housing grossing the highest sales.

The rise in sales and interest has been attributed to accurate valuation prices and on market prices to suit the current market.
