Noel Edmonds loses property battle

4 November 2011

Noel Edmonds has lost a high court struggle over a mansion renovation

Edmonds has been in conflict with a friend over property schemes but yesterday lost his fight.

He accused Ulrik Lawson, his business partner, of going back on a property deal which left him £500,000 down.

The pair invested in land and had intended to build properties on the plot. However they were denied planning permission which left Edmonds out of pocket when they came to sell. Mr Lawson, incidentally received his full investment back.

Lawson has also sued Edmonds for building work on a different house bought by the TV presenter.

Edmonds has been ruled against on both counts which could cost him almost £1,000,000 total damages.
