The most expensive house sale in Britain has recently completed, for an astonishing £140million!

An 18th-century house, near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire has been sold to a Russian billionaire in the most expensive residential transaction seen in British history.

The property, titled Park Place, was once the home to George II's eldest son and has undergone extensive renovation and makeover in preperation for its new owner.

The luxury mansion has everything - from its own helipad and spa complex to a home cinema and state of the art security system. The property was built in the Renaissance style, has more than ten bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and 30,000 sq ft of living space.

The new owner of Park Place has yet to be revealed, but it is believed to a Russian billionaire. The Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abramovich has already distanced himself from rumours speculating he was behind the purchase.
