25 July 2011

The most expensive location in the UK is Oxford, according to a survey of over 30,000 residents nationwide.

Oxford, a city steeped in university culture and history, was voted by 65.2% of survey respondents as over-priced. Next in the list is Greater London (with 63.2% of the votes), which is to be expected from the capital.

At the other end of the spectrum is Glasgow, which 31% of the consumers asked voted as under-priced.

What's next for the property market? 41% of those questioned believe that there will be little movement in prices, and will stay relatively stable for the coming 12 months. Only 26.2% believed that prices would rise, whilst 26.9% expect prices to fall over the next year.
