House prices rise slightly in January

1 March 2011

The latest house price index produced by Nationwide has shown that the average home value rose by 0.3 in February, as the market continued its steady recovery.

This leaves the average price for a UK property at £161,211. The market looks set to continue to show its resilient side, as property prices are expected to take no major rises or falls whilst stability returns to the market.

This rise was supported by the latest batch of Land Registry data, which echoed positive sentiments and reported a 0.2% in January of this year.

With positive news creeping out more and more homeowners are looking to get their house valued and take advantage of a more buoyant market. This is evident as we received 30% more house valuation in requests in Febuary when compared with January.
