Discover the latest hidden a basement in London!

28 November 2011

A Kensington developer has decided to build a beach in the basement of a London property.

The Daily Mail has reported that the false beach resort will surround a 36 foot swimming pool and include a beach area, changing rooms, sauna and a spa bath.

The plan is yet to gain planning approval but the local council has announced that applications for basement conversions are extremely popular with the Sunday Times reporting that 1,164 applications have been made in the last five years.

A basement in the same street has been converted to include a wine cellar, tasting room, games room and swimming pool whilst another encases a garage lift that takes its owner two floors underground to a private pool and bar.
