Aldemore is the latest lender to participate in the government’s NewBuy scheme that allows buyers to purchase new build property with only a 5% deposit.

The lender will offer NewBuy via Fairview New Homes, a new homes builder principally operating in the South of England.

Aldemore is supplying a number of two and three-year fixed rate mortgages at 5.48% up to £400,000 and up to 95% LTV.

Fairview’s Group Sales and Marketing Director, Jim Holliday noted on house-builder.co.uk that “We are delighted to be able to announce our partnership with Aldermore and to be the first of the UK housebuilders to work with the new bank.”

Housing Minister Grant Shapps also commented that: "NewBuy now covers nearly three quarters of the mortgage market, but I want to go further and see more lenders following their example by signing up to ensure even more of those looking to buy newly-built homes are able to do so with just a fraction of the deposit they would normally require."
