Threefold increase in Part-exchange completions for David Wilson and movewithus

David Wilson Homes has announced that their average yearly Part-exchange completions have risen by 300% since their affiliation with movewithus began. It marks a dramatic increase in the number of new David Wilson homes being sold, despite fears of a slowing market.

Debbie Groom, regional Part-exchange manager for David Wilson, said: “The market for new homes has stayed relatively stable. It is resale properties that have really been affected by the adverse market conditions. Last year, we were seeing only a third of our Part-exchange enquiries being converted into reservations. Recently, with the help of movewithus’ managed Part-exchange service, we have seen not only more enquires but a greater proportion converting to reservations – around 75%.”

These are encouraging figures for developers throughout the country, especially those who invest in managed Part-exchange schemes.

Debbie Groom’s work on behalf of David Wilson Homes and movewithus has led to her being named as David Wilson’s Part exchange Manager of the Year for 2007 for the southern region; quite a triumph considering the award takes in Part-exchange managers from Ward, Barratt and David Wilson sites from Wales across to Kent.

Debbie Groom commented: “As the sole Part-exchange manager in my region, I find movewithus’ assistance absolutely invaluable. Prior to our affiliation, I was only able to manage a fraction of the number of Part-exchange transactions that are currently being completed.”

Russell Cade, movewithus founding director, added: “Our congratulations go out to Debbie. We’re thrilled that our affiliation has contributed to her winning such a prestigious accolade. We hope that this shows our developer clients how using managed sales services can lead to real results, despite the perceived market slowdown.”
