movewithus were recently quoted in the February 2008 edition of sqm estate agents magazine, where a panel of industry experts were asked for their opinions on estate agency affiliations.

“Our main affiliation is with movewithus who we have been working closely with for the past three years. What started as choosing a company with the contacts and expertise to manage our conveyancing operation, has grown to incorporate international investments, corporate instructions and a whole host of other opportunities that we are exploring together.
I can honestly say the experience of working with such a like-minded company as ourselves has been enormously beneficial in many aspects. Of course there are financial rewards but, (and I think I can safely talk for movewithus too), we have also learnt much from each other’s area of expertise that we have gone on to incorporate into our own operations.
The benefits don’t just stop with our two companies either. We now have many more strings to our bow which we can offer to our clients to make their moving experience that much smoother and of course it brings additional business opportunities through our doors. Whilst the public may not be able to tell one acronym from another when they walk into an estate agent’s office, they should undoubtedly benefit from the agent’s association.
Would I recommend movewithus to other agents? Whole heartedly. Will they pay me extra for such a ringing endorsement? Not a penny!
As for other affiliations, we haven’t got the window space to advertise any more, after all, we do want to save some room for our properties. However, we are thinking about sending a message to the Government and joining the association, ‘Respectfully Suggesting Ending HIPs Or Lose Everyone’s Sanity’.”

“I remember the days when repossessions were dealt with by the local manager of your friendly local building society and any corporate business such as part-exchanges and job relocations were really something out of the ordinary! Nowadays, of course these are a component part of agency life and to be honest, look like playing a far more important role for the discerning company with the likelihood of more difficult times ahead! Therefore in terms of achieving what we know as ‘panel or corporate business’ – to be affiliated with a recognised national source for such work is in my imperative”.
