movewithus started the new year by announcing the winners of their MEG league (movewithus Elite Group), designed to reward the top performing agents in the country for their hard work throughout the year and for their delivery of “customer satisfaction to the consumer”. The service focused on two unique offerings – panel managed, quality controlled conveyancing and an out of area referral service.
The MEG league was designed to bring together like minded independent estate agents who want to work towards higher service levels for the consumer and raise their profile both locally and nationally.
2008 promises to be a tough year for agents with some industry experts predicting a 20% drop in completed transactions. Tony Peck, chairman of MEG, said: “The initiative encourages healthy competition between agents and keeps us working at our optimum levels. It also provides us with a healthy revenue stream from conveyancing and out of area applicants with houses to sell.”
movewithus created three divisions to try and offer some fairness to the leagues - the ‘Home', the ‘Information’ and the ‘Pack’ Leagues (to flow with the spirit of things – or should we say the Government’s spirit of things!) Points were awarded for passing conveyancing and out of area referrals to movewithus, with added points if the out of area referrals progressed to instructions.
The big winners for the last quarter of 2007 were:

Nigel Higgins, founding director at movewithus, said: “These agents have turned changing market conditions from potential negatives to real positives by adjusting their business strategies and upping their efforts in reaction to the toughening conditions. Congratulations to all the winners and the best of luck in 2008!”
Wayne Stevenson, winner of the Information League, added: “MEG provides a great focal point to increase your earnings and of course bragging rights over the rest of the team. My next focus is to knock Matthew Sayer off his throne!”
