According to recent results from movewithus, the property sale specialist, the average sale price of property sold for developers has risen for the fourth month in a row – up almost £15,000 since the start of 2009, according to a sample of 2,600 corporate residential sales in past six months.
The results follow recent positive announcements by home builders including Redrow, who have stated that they are beginning to recruit new staff and commission homes again after a year of cuts.
Although the value of property in the wider market continues to be unstable, movewithus’ results suggest that the prices of residential property being sold on behalf of corporate vendors is currently rising and has been for some months.
Russell Cade, movewithus managing director, said: “The signs for developer residential property are encouraging. Consistent trends are emerging, with prices moving upwards in shorter timescales. This is providing much needed confidence to developers and their customers.”
