movewithus announces 100th Online Office agent

Property specialist movewithus, who work with over 1,250 estate agents across the country, have announced completion of their 100th ‘Online Office’ website this year for well known Berkshire agent, ‘Prospect’.

The milestone means that over 250 offices now use a movewithus Online Office to represent their high street brand on the web.

Nigel Higgins, movewithus director, says that Online Office is designed to help local and regional agents strengthen their online brands so they’re as strong as their high street counterparts.

Nigel Higgins said: “At the moment, 85% of buyers look online when searching for a property and this number is only likely to rise as new technologically savvy buyers come to the market. Investing in a credible online presence is vital for any forward thinking agent who wants to cut costs and communicate with a new kind of home mover.”

Adam Wellesely, director of Horts in Northampton, shares Higgins’ view that estate agency is in a transition phase.

Adam Wellesely said: “Back in July 2008, with sales results at just 35% of the previous year, we adopted the movewithus business model, closing our satellite offices, keeping our town centre branches in Northampton and Rugby and investing in our online brand. Our redundant sales forces continued under our banner on a self employment basis, much like the US and European agency models. Last month, we had our best sales results in almost two years, selling more property then we did out of the five previous branches from only two.”
