What happens if I don't have a will?

If you do not have a Will, you will not have anything in place that will clearly state your intentions and there is no guarantee who will inherit your estate or look after your children. If somebody dies without a will they are known as ‘inestate’. When this happens the law decides who will be placed in charge of the deceased’s affairs (executor) and who will inherit their estate.

Affairs without a Will can be very time consuming, often taking years to reach a resolution and can often become very stressful for the deceased’s nearest and dearest.

To safeguard your property it is best to draw-up a Will. If you would like to know more, please take a look at our executor services.
