Fields of Gold?

Fields of Gold?

According to property and agricultural real estate company Knight Frank, the global price of farmland has risen by an average of 34% over the past year, with prices rising by 12% in the first three months of 2008 alone*. The rise is said to be due to growing global demand for soft commodities and bio-fuels. In the UK, prices have risen by 10% in the first quarter of 2008 to £5,500 per acre.**

Project Greengold, our popular Argentinean arable farmland investment, is following the same trends but at substantially lower costs to prospective investors. At just £809 per acre, investors can take advantage of the growing global demand at just 15% of the price of British agricultural land.

Claudio Rois, movewithus investor director, said: “Argentinean and British farming is similar in many ways. Both countries have a long agricultural tradition and both are benefiting from increasing global demand for their produce. The main difference is the price of the land, making Greengold an extremely attractive proposition.”

Now in its fifth stage, Greengold has proven phenomenally popular since its launch last year. Investors are attracted not only by the low prices but the prospective capital appreciation and the yearly rental returns. The latest stage, Greengold Optimum, gives investors a yearly rental income that rises incrementally each year. It means that, if investors hold on to their land for eight years, they have already received more than their original stake in rental income, with the value of the land as a substantial bonus!

As global financial conditions look ever more uncertain, we are using all of our experience of world markets to source investments that give security as well as the promise of financial rewards.
