Argentina Property

It is an extremely long country and the weather regions vary from sub tropical in the north to sub polar in the south. In Buenos Aires the summer months are hot and quite humid and the winters damp and chilly with average temperatures ranging from 11c to 24c.

The country is particularly famous for its agriculture and is rich in national resources. Whilst it is not widely known for its tourism it has a lot to offer from ski-ing in the Andes to the resort playground on the coast of Mar del Plata and the country is seeing a steady increase in tourists.

The country suffered a significant economic downturn in2002 however the country has now regained its footing. The Buenos Aires area has seen prices increasing by 50% and a recent report by credit Suisse said that property was still 20% to 30% undervalued. This combined with good rental yields offers a great investment opportunity. Mortgages are not available for foreigners and mortgage facilities are difficult to obtain for residents.  Interest rates are very high. Changes to the mortgage market are expected and this will provide additional stimulus to the market.
