movewithus Story
In the beginning..
movewithus started life as Partners in Property in 1997. We began by assembling a national affinity group of like-minded estate agents who shared our aim of making the moving process more straightforward and efficient by promoting transparency and the sharing of information between all parties involved.
Our network gained members rapidly and by 2000, we were ready to take the next step. We invested in a technological infrastructure designed to enable our member agents to take advantage of the latest online order-tracking and sale status innovations. In 2002 we adopted the movewithus name and set about taking our offering to the market. By 2004, our business had more than doubled and our staff numbers had risen seven-fold since our inception.
A national brand..
The last four years have seen the movewithus brand grow to become a nationally recognised name in the UK property industry. For two consecutive years in 2005 and 2006, movewithus was named one of the Sunday Times’ Virgin Fastrack companies, a list of the fastest growing independent businesses in the country.
Through the turbulence of 2007, we introduced a number of new initiatives designed to be an asset to our partners and enable them to weather the uncertainly of a slowing market exacerbated by the introduction of HIPs, the Northern Rock crisis and the credit crunch.
An evolving service..
Due to diligent preparation and a strong emphasis on customer service, our HIP service has grown to be one of the most reliable and efficient packages on the market. We launched ‘Secure Home Purchase’, a new venture in collaboration with a major financial institution, to extend our operation to the acquisition and sale of developer part-exchange properties. We also launched a Prepossession service from our Asset management department, offering consumers a quick and hassle-free way to unlock the equity in their homes, repay outstanding debt and avoid repossession.
In April 2007, movewithus moved into Grant Hall, a new headquarters building in St.Ives, Cambridgeshire. Incorporating innovative networking technologies with a communal office structure, Grant Hall provides staff with the tools to provide our partners with a top-quality service.
In the future..
2008 sees movewithus looking to the future with optimism. Our original aim of making the moving process more straightforward by promoting transparency is still the yard stick by which all our business decisions are made. It’s this simple philosophy that has enabled us to grow from humble beginnings to a multimillion pound, nationally accredited property specialist, offering a combination of services to agents, developers, lenders and consumers.
