Bulgaria Information
Bulgaria is situated in the south-east part of Europe, and in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. For centuries, the roads passing through the territory of the country have been connecting Europe with Asia and Africa. Four common European transport corridors, connecting West and North Europe with the eastern and southern part of the continent, cross roads here. And with an improved infrastructure, property developments in Bulgaria are becoming increasingly popular.
Apart from being situated on crossroads, Bulgaria is also known for its picturesque nature. In spite of being a relatively small territory (110, 912 km2), the country has various landscapes. The scenery varies from vast plains to hilly areas and high mountains. Its large beaches and beautiful rocky shores stretch out along the Black sea coast.
Bansko is situated in south-west Bulgaria at the foot hills of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountain, the Pirin, which has excellent skiing conditions. The Pirin Mountain is a natural preserve included in the World Natural Heritage list. It has a predominantly Alpine character with twin peaks towering above 2900 metres. Pamporovo is a welcoming mix of old and new. It is a traditional Rhodopian mountain retreat, 260km south of Sofia which consists of pine houses, dense forests and rolling snow-covered vistas which is rapidly transforming into a popular ski resort fortunately not at the expense of its natural beauty.
