Argentina is the second largest country in South America and the eighth largest country in the world. It has a population of 40million and is the size of the whole of Western Europe. Following the recession in 2002, measures have been put in place and Argentina is now one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Since the first quarter of 2002 the economy has grown by 31.4%.

Bordered by Paraguay and Bolivia in the north, Brazil and Uruguay in the north-east and Chile in the south and west. Argentina has a diverse landscape; it possesses expansive deserts, some of the world’s tallest mountains (Argentine Andes), fertile agricultural plains and rolling plateaus. Argentina’s climate ranges from subtropical in the north-east, temperate in the central regions to arid and cold in the south and along the mountain ranges.
 
Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and its largest city and port. It is one of the largest cities in the world and has also become one of the most sophisticated and elegant cities in South America. Buenos Aires has always been famous for its incredible cultural offering and is renowned for its architecture and night life. As far as European architecture is concerned, many streets recall those of Paris. Buenos Aires is the financial, industrial, commercial, and cultural hub of Argentina. It’s port is one of the busiest in the world.
