Green turns to gold

8 August 2007

Green turns to gold movewithus’ project greengold® aims to take advantage of global soft commodities prices with the development of investment opportunities in Argentinean land, farmed primarily for soya, wheat and corn. With demand for food and bio-fuels on the increase, plus the possibility to sell carbon credits from the land, this venture incorporates both financial and ethical advantages, making it an exciting project for potential investors.

Basing itself on a Victorian investment model the project assures investors a return of 10% per annum for a 10 year investment. The £10,000 minimum investment will be paid to the structured finance specialists, Powerscourt and invested into this arable land. The everyday management of the land is left to South American Asset Management S.A. (SAAM), a property manager based in Argentina. SAAM offers to pay the investor 10% annually in arrears for ten years before purchasing the land outright for 150% the purchase value. For example £10,000 invested will result in the original money being returned, plus an extra £5,000 from the land sale, plus £10,000 in rent. Overall, the minimum a £10,000 investment will return is £25,000.

movewithus Director Robin King said: “This is a strong return in today’s uncertain market conditions and an opportunity to invest in a sector (soft commodities) that is predicted by market experts to have a strong run for at least the next ten years.”
